30 Minute Yeast Rolls

Ingredients
 

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • ¼ cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon quick-rise yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • Optional Topping: melted salted butter, garlic butter, or unsalted butter with a sprinkle of flaky salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Place a 12-cup muffin pan in the preheated oven for 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and grease with a butter stick or with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Mix self-rising flour, oil, egg, granulated sugar, quick-rise yeast, and lukewarm water in a large mixing bowl just until combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, fill the prepared muffin pan evenly with the bread dough.
  • Bake 18-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and cooked through. If desired, brush with melted salted butter, garlic butter, or unsalted butter with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
