Ingredients
1poundground beef
½poundbacon
3 16ouncecans baked beans1 or 2 cans drained
½cup ketchup
½cupgranulated sugar or sugar substitute
½cupbrown sugar or brown sugar substitute
1tablespoondijon or yellow mustard
1tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonchili powder
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
½-1teaspoonsalt
½-1teaspoonblack pepper
Instructions
Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet or in the oven (see oven method) and transfer to a paper towel lined plate. Chop cooled bacon slices into small pieces.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook ground beef until no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease using a paper towel in the skillet or drain in a colander and return to the pan.
To the cooked beef, add drained and undrained beans (see note), granulated sugar, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and bacon. Stir the mixture until well combined. Taste and adjust flavors as desired.
Pour the mixture into a 13"x9" pan or 3-quart baking dish. Bake 45-50 minutes or until thickened and set.

To store these baked beans, simply put the leftovers in an airtight container and place in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave for a few minutes.
You can make these baked beans up to two days in advance for a party, they hold so well!
