  • 12 ounces beer
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese dice-size cubes or shredded

Pro Tips and Substitutions:

    • Cheese Alternatives: Feel free to experiment with different cheeses, such as pepper jack for extra spice or gouda for a milder flavor.
    • Jalapeño Substitutes: If you prefer less heat, you can use milder peppers like poblano or bell peppers. For more heat, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or using serrano peppers. You can also omit pepper if desired.
    • Beer Choices: The flavor of the bread will vary depending on the type of beer you use. A light beer will yield a milder flavor, while a darker beer like a stout or porter will create a richer taste.
    • Additions: Consider adding crispy bacon, chives, or fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
    • How to Serve: This bread pairs well with soups, stews, and chili. It’s also delicious on its own with butter or cream cheese.

Storage:

Store cheesy jalapeno beer bread in an airtight container or wrapped in foil at room temperature for up to 3 days. To extend its shelf life, you can store the bread in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Reheat slices in the toaster or oven for the best texture. Wrap the bread tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, or place it in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature and reheat before serving.
