Tips:
Measure the flour correctly. Be sure to spoon and level the flour in the measuring cup or else your cobbler could be dense.
No need to defrost frozen fruit. Simply add the frozen fruit to the baking dish and bake until warmed through and jammy. If you defrost prior to baking then your cobbler with be extra runny. The frozen fruit thickens as it cooks but may still be a little thinner in consistency than fresh fruit.
Use your favorite fruit. We love mixed berries here, but you can use peaches, plums, pineapple, cherries, the options are endless!
Customize the cobbler with spices and extracts! You can add spices like cinnamon and nutmeg to the flour mixture, plus extracts like almond or vanilla to change up the flavors.
Storage Instructions:
To store leftovers: Simply cover with foil and set on the counter or in the fridge for up to 2 days before the texture changes. Reheat the cobbler in the microwave or oven for a few minutes until warmed through.
To Make Ahead: Simply measure out the dry and wet ingredients in advance in containers then mix and bake right before you begin eating dinner so it's piping hot and warm when it's time for dessert!
Freezing leftovers: The cobbler can be frozen but this may slightly change the texture when it's reheated.
