Ingredients
 

  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups Borden Cheese shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • ½ cup Borden Cheese shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • ¼ cup Borden Cheese shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2.5 ounces mini pepperonis
  • Dippers: Garlic Bread Crisps, Tortilla chips, Sourdough Bread Cubes or Homemade Garlic Bread Cheese Crisps (see note)
  • Garnish: Fresh Basil or additional Parmesan Cheese

Garlic Bread Cheese Crisps (Optional)

  • 1 baguette
  • ½ cup salted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1-2 minced garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¾ cup Borden Cheese shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup Borden Cheese shredded Parmesan cheese
  • pinch of salt optional

Instructions

Pizza Dip

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, 1 ½ cups of the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth and well-combined with a hand mixer or or spatula.
  • Transfer the cheese mixture into a pie pan or a 8x8-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Pour the pizza sauce over the cheese mixture, spreading it out gently.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the Parmesan cheese and pepperoni slices.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese has started to turn golden brown.
  • Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with store-bought garlic bread crisps, tortilla chips, a crusty bread like baguette slices or cubed sourdough bread, or homemade garlic bread cheese crisps (see below).

Garlic Bread Cheese Crisps (Optional)

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick diagonal slices.
  • In a small bowl, combine softened butter, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic or garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Spread a generous amount on one side of each bread slice, and place on a baking sheet, garlic butter side up.
  • Bake 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden, crispy, and the cheese is melted. Serve alongside Pizza Dip

Storage

Store any leftover pizza dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, simply warm it in the oven at 350°F until heated through or microwave it in short intervals until hot.
While it’s best enjoyed fresh, you can freeze the prepared dip before baking. Just thaw it in the refrigerator overnight before baking. Keep in mind that the freeze and thaw process will impact the dips' texture.
